Pak Army has become very powerful force with its current assets and is quite capable of giving a tit for tat reply to any Indian nefarious military designs. We can make Pakistan a powerful and prosperous nation with strengthened democracy, national unity and by utilising the potential of our youth which is now sixty to sixty million strong.
This was stated by Ziauddin Khwaja (retd), former DG ISI Pakistan. He said that Pakistan Army is playing the role of defenders of democracy in addition to defending the internal security and eradication of terrorism. Indian RAW is actively engaged in subversive activities inside Pakistan because India cannot succeed in hurting Pakistan through external aggression.
He was speaking at a defence day program arranged by TECH Society Club on the topic "Indian war mania and our defence capability". Zubair Sheikh, Dr Muhammad Sadiq, Colonel Jaleel Ahmed(retd), Major Khalid Warraich(retd), Syeda Yasmin Bokhari, Colonel Mahmood Shah(retd) and Muhammad Zubair also spokeon the occasion.
The program was attended by veteran army officials who had participated in the 1965 war with India, intellectuals of the civil society, students and a larger number of engineers and other professionals living in TECH and allied societies.
Speakers paid glowing tributes to the Ghazis and Shaheeds of Pak Army and the civilians who acted in unity to inflict heavy defeat on India. They also paid tributes to Pakistani scientists and engineers who had helped making Pakistan a nuclear power. The speakers were full of praise to our army's bold efforts to establish peace in the country through Zarb-e-Azb and operations in Karachi.
Ziauddin said by 2025 Pakistan will become a developed country by the measures being taken in economic and social sectors with the backing of armed forces. Right education of our youth and the coming generations was necessary for the social change needed for a sustainable welfare state of Pakistan.
The audience resolved that they will defend Pakistan with their full capabilities side by side their gallant armed forces.
