Rice prices lower on grain market

Rice prices were down on the local grain market on Monday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the rice side, Irri-9 Sindh dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 3200 and Rs 3300, Irri-6 Sindh low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 2775 while the good variety was unchanged at Rs 2850, Basmati No 386 Red old fell by Rs 300 to Rs 4500 and fine variety was down by Rs 200 to Rs 4800, Basmati No 386 Red new lost Rs 300 to Rs 3500 and Rs 3700, Basmati No 386 Normal new low quality was lower by Rs 400 to Rs 3400 and good type was down by Rs 500 to Rs 3500, they said
On the cereals side, Makai low type was up by 125 to Rs 2000 and the best quality, however, lost the same amount to Rs 2125, other commodities maintained last levels, they said. On the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type was higher by Rs 5 to Rs 1480 while the best quality was unchanged at Rs 1525, they said.
