PTI’s Faisal Javed announces Imran Khan will take oath on August 18
After much speculation regarding the day when the next prime minister will be sworn in, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Faisal Javed Khan has announced that party chairman Imran Khan will take oath for premiership on August 18.
The PTI's senator tweeted on Friday that the PTI chairman will be taking oath as prime minister on August 18. There have been many speculations regarding the date when the PTI chairman would take oath.

PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry had earlier said that Khan will be taking oath between August 15 and 17. He also said that the PTI has won 180 seats in the National Assembly and can form its government at the Centre.
President Mamnoon Hussain has also summoned the news session of National Assembly on August 13. In the NA session, the newly elected members will take oath. The oath will be followed by the elections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and the leader of the House.
