There is no let up in cases of robberies in the heavily guarded federal Capital despite the tall claims of police pertaining to tightening noose around the dacoits and burglars. The data collected by Business Recorder from different sources revealed that robbers and burglars struck at more than 11 places last week and incurred losses worth million of rupees to the victims.
Similarly, car lifters have stolen more than seven vehicles including bikes from the different localities of the Capital during the same period. Various city police stations also registered three cases of murder, one case of woman kidnapping and 12 cases of dishonoured cheques last week. The most favourite areas for the robbers, auto thieves were within the limits of Aabpara, Karachi Company, Shalimar, Industrial area and Lohi Bheer police stations.
During the last week, Aabpara police station registered two cases of auto theft, one case of robbery and two cases of dishonoured cheques. Auto thieves have stolen a Honda city car of Mumraz Khan of sector G-7/4 and lifted a Suzuki van of Deen Muhammad from Aabpara market. Tariq Mehmood of Sector G-6/1 lodged a complaint with Aabapra police station that unknown robbers have stolen cash, camera from his house.
One case each of robbery, auto theft, kidnapping and dishonoured cheques was reported to the newly established Karachi Company police station during the last week. Syed Mumtaz Hussain lodged a complaint with Karachi Company police station that four unknown persons snatched Rs 2400000 from him near a bank. Auto thieves have stolen a bike of Waqas Maqtool in the limits of Karachi Company police station. Ahmad Khalid of Sector G-9/4 registered a complaint with Karachi company police station that unknown kidnappers abducted his daughter.
Shalimar police station registered one case each of robbery, auto theft and dishonoured cheque. A woman lodged a complaint with Shalimar police station that two robbers riding a bike snatched her purse and looted three mobile phones and Rs 90000 cash. Motor vehicle thieves have stolen a Suzuki swift car of Amir. During the last week Lohi Bheer police station registered one case each of robbery, murder and auto theft. Syed Hassan Raza informed Lohi Bheer police station that unknown robbers broke into his house and took away gold ornament, cash and other valuables of worth Rs 40,000 at gunpoint. Auto thieves have stolen a Honda civic car of Muhammad Nadeem from Bharia Town.
Industrial Area police station registered one case of robbery, auto theft and dishonoured cheque. Syed Adeel informed Industrial area police station that unknown robbers have stolen bike. During the last week Koral police registered three cases of dishonoured cheques, Secretariat police registered one case each of robbery and dishonoured cheques, Golra police registered one case each of fake cheque and murder and Sihala police registered two cases of robbery.
Bara Kahu police registered one case of dishonoured cheque, Shams Colony PS registered one case of murder, Koral PS registered one case of robbery, Margalla police registered one case of fake cheque and Rmana PS registered one case of auto theft during the last week.
