National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), held two days workshop recently with the collaboration of TVET Reform Support Programme (TRSP-GIZ) for TVET Institutions of Gilgit Biltistan in Gilgit.
The purpose of the workshop is "to disseminate awareness on importance of quality based TVET in accordance with the local and internationally acceptable accreditation procedures and highlights its benefits for the TVET institutes and trainees". The initiative was taken on the direction and special interest of Zulfiqar Cheema, Executive Director NAVTTC.
Director (Accreditation) NAVTTC Headquarters, Islamabad Naeem Iqbal briefed the audience about the accreditation process and benefits of accreditation of Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He also told audience that the NAVTTC Accreditation is still offered free of cost to encourage maximum number of TVET institutions to apply for accreditation and get involved in continuous quality improvement.-PR
