-In a major crackdown against the unhygienic food outlets in federal capital, the Islamabad Capital territory (ICT) administration sealed some prominent restaurants and bakeries in the city on Sunday.
A team headed by an additional deputy commissioner-general (ADC-G) along with assistant commissioners Secretariat, Rural and Saddar, raided Melody Food Market, some areas of Bari Imam, Sohan, and Chatha Bakhtawar. The inspection team sealed KFC Store, Fresco Sweets, Dhaka Sweets, Sittar Tikka Shop, Savour Foods, Sharif Tikka, Jhangir Restaurant, Hotel Regalia, and Usmania restaurant.
The KFC and Hardees, two popular fast food outlets, were slapped with a fine of Rs100,000 each. It also sealed 11 other eateries in different parts of the city, one hotel was issued a challan, 3 fake doctors/quacks were arrested while seven fled away from the scene in Golra/ Mehrabadi areas.
The clinics include Sobia Dawa Khana Golra, City Hospital Golra, Saeed Welfare Hospital Golra, Alibaba Medical store Golra, Shah G Medical Center Mehrabadi, Al jadoon Shah G Hospital Mehrabadi, Children Hospital Mehrabadi, Bacha Clinic Mehrabadi, Wahab Clinic Mehrabadi, Jadoon Medical Center Mehrabadi, Al-Shifa Clinic Mehrabadi, Zaman Clinic Golra.
