The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) to submit a comprehensive report regarding former AGP Sardar Khan's murder case in four weeks. The three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the suo motto notice of the former AG murder. The chief Justice remarked that main accused Roohullah fled from the hospital with help of some officials. He asked what action was initiated against officials who helped accused escape.
During the course of proceedings, Additional Attorney General informed the court that accused Roohullah was in Afghanistan and efforts were continue to bring him back. The Chief Justice observed that same excuse was repeated before the court since 2014 but the accused could not be brought back. The court summoned AGP Salman Aslam Butt and directed him to submit comprehensive report in this regard in four weeks.
