The report of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) for the year 2014-15 would be laid before the parliament in the up-coming session which is likely to be held on October 5. The AGP has approached the Parliamentary Affairs Division to include the motion for laying the Federal Accounts for the financial year 2013-14 and Audit Reports for the audit year 2014-15 in the order of the day in the coming session of both the houses of the Parliament.
In this regard Additional Auditor General Javaid Jehangir has sent a letter to the Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Division. Under Article 171 of the Constitution of Pakistan, the Auditor General submits reports relating to the Accounts of the Federation to the President of Pakistan who causes them to be laid before the Parliament.
