One of the best known public relation professionals of the country Zia-Ul-Islam Zuberi former Director Communications and Government affairs Siemens Pakistan retired from Siemens after 20 years of service. He is also known internationally by virtue of his membership in such prestigious organizations like International Public Relation Association, Canadian Public Relation Society and European Association of Communication Directors.
He had been for a number of years a member of the international jury for IPRA Golden World Awards. Locally he was for a number of years a member of the jury for both APNS (All Pakistan Newspapers Society) and All Pakistan Advertising Society for advertising awards in print and electronic media.
Prior to Siemens Zuberi was head of Public Relations for Sandoz for more than 13 years. During his tenure in both companies he won several awards for his outstanding communication and CSR campaigns including Siemens Light for life program which provided solar energy to remote areas of Azad Kashmir after the 2005 earthquake. He also supervised flood relief efforts of Siemens after the 2010 floods in close co-operation with the armed forces. He is also a well known writer with one book and more than 5000 articles in Urdu and English to his credit.-PR
