Masarrat Misbah, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist and one of the pioneers of the hair and beauty industry of Pakistan with the Depilex Group received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the LUX STYLE AWARDS 2015 recently on her tremendous contribution to the beauty industry of Pakistan. The award was presented by Maheen Khan and Hassan Shaheryar Yaseen.
She had received formal training of makeup, beauty therapy and skin treatment from world prestigious beauty centers in USA, UK, Germany and France. She started her beauty salon with the name "Depilex" in 1980, when the market for beauty salons was extremely small. Today after three decades of passionate work; 38 branches of "Depilex" has opened across Pakistan; trained makeup artist around the world including UAE, UK, and USA operate under the Depilex brand.
Massarat contributed to not only beauty industry but to humanity as well. As a Philanthropist she opened "SmileAgain Foundation" which helped female survivors of acid violence in Pakistan by providing them appropriate medical attention and reconstructive surgery, psychological/psychiatric support, shelter and vocational training.-PR
