KP Wildlife Department accelerates action against illegal hunting

On the directives of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Department of Wildlife, Kohat Division has accelerated efforts for the protection of wildlife and operation against illegal hunting of birds. For this purpose, Divisional Forest Officer, Wildlife, Sajjad Ali has constituted different raiding teams, which is conducting raids in different prohibited areas including dams.
In this connection, a raiding party headed by Wildlife Officer, Rahmatullah arrested several persons for illegal hunting of precious species of birds during raids on different dams and after arrested imposed heavy fines on them under Wildlife Act.
It has worth to mention here that a raiding party headed by Sub-Divisional Forest Officer (Wildlife) Shabir Ahmad during raids in the suburban localities of Kohat and Darwazai dams arrested over 20 influential and important personalities red handed along with arms and were penalised on the spot.
