Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shaharyar Mohammad Khan and his Executive Committee counterpart, Najam Sethi, and Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad have condoled with the family over the death former cricketer Hasan Jamil Alvi. He died of cardiac arrest in Karachi on Wednesday. Left-arm medium fast bowler and left-hand batsman Hasan Jamil had represented Pakistan in six one-day internationals in 1977-78.
"The entire board management, indeed Pakistani cricketing fraternity, is deeply saddened at his demise. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time of sorrow. May Allah give his family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss", said the board chairman.
