Masoor prices went up sharply on the local grain market on Thursday in the process of slow trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada low type was higher by Rs 800 to Rs 9300 and the best quality was up by Rs 600 to Rs 9600, Masoor Dall Canada low type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 10500 and the best type rose by Rs 800 to Rs 11200, Moong Afghan registeres at Rs 10300 and Rs 10600, they said.
On the grams side, Guwar Sindh was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 4300 and Rs 4400, other items maintained overnight levels, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1800 and the good quality picked up Rs 125 to Rs 1900, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they said.
