The 'Labbaik Ya Rasool-Allah Conference', held here at Iqbal Park (Ground Ghat) on Thursday night under the auspices of Tehreek Siraat-e-Mustaqim Pakistan, asked the government to desist from abrogating or amending the "Tahafuss-e-Namoos-e-Rasool" law.
Making this announcement, Ejaz Ahmad Qadri, Sunni Ittehad Chief, Awais Noorani, President Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Dr Ashraf Asif Jilali, Chairman, TSMP, also said that keeping in view the great leadership of the Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif, and the most successful launch of the "Zarb-e-Azb" by Army under his command, he should be given an extension in his service. They also underscored the need for bestowing upon him the "Nishan-e-Haider" during his life time. They lauded the government and the Rangers on the success of the National Action Plan.
They said that unfortunately, Pakistan has become a battlefield of Iran-Saudi Arabia 'Proxy War'; hence we should remain neutral. They said that Western countries were fanning 'religious terrorism' in Pakistan under the garb of freedom of expression. They also slated the activities of "Daesh" in various Muslim countries and urged the citizens of these countries to rise to the occasion and collectively frustrate the designs of this organisation.
