Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin inaugurated trauma center being set up in District Headquarters Mian Munshi Hospital Lahore at a cost of Rs 32.594 million. The Minister was informed on this occasion that construction work of trauma center will be completed within a year which included basement and lower ground.
MS of the hospital Muhammad Amir during a briefing told that laboratory, blood bank, X-ray room, CT Scan, children ward, duty staff rooms, store, radiology, waiting room, lift and bathrooms will be constructed in the basement while sterilization, operation theatre and parking will be available at the lower ground.
The Minister was told that front place of the hospital will be used for trauma center which will fulfil the parking and other requirements. The provincial Minister said that in view of the increasing number of patients, the hospital should have been upgraded much earlier. He said that due to establishment of trauma center, modern treatment facilities will be available to the people and they will have not to go hospitals of far-flung areas for treatment.
He said that government is meeting the needs of hospital so that poor people could fully benefit from it. He said that welfare work of the hospital like Mian Munshi should continue. The Minister told that initially 6.3 million rupees have been released for starting trauma center project and remaining funds will be released according to the requirements.
Addressing political workers on the inauguration of trauma center, Bilal Yasin asked them to take active part in bye-election of October 11 like they took part in the welfare works of the hospital. MS Muhammad Amir, professors, paramedical staff and political workers Mian Amjad Hussain Billo, Mian Yasin, Amjad Nazir Butt, Chaudhry Shujat Farooq, Ayaz Khan, Muhammad Sharif Billo Gujjar, Khalid Mehmood Bhutta, Majeed Awan, Riaz alias Raju, Chaudhry Aurangzeb, Waris Mehmood and Anjum Murshad were present on the occasion.
