Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) Punjab Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said the killing of President of the PP-188 in Okara Milk Aslam Channa and two others was a political murder. The local chapter of the ruling Party has eliminated the deceased as a result of deep conspiracy executed for political motives, he asserted.
Milk Aslam Channa was the President of the PPP from the PP-188 from where he was elected four times to various people's representative forums. He was now contesting the elections of the chairmanship of Qadrabad Union Council and was in commanding position so far local support was concerned.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo condemned the murder in the strongest terms and decided to suspend political activities related to local bodies' election in district Okara to mourn the assassination of Milk Aslam Channa and of two others. He demanded the Punjab government's mandarins to arrest the criminals at the earliest and expose the conspiracy behind the abhorrent murder in order to award them detrimental punishment to the criminals.
