According to Election Commission of Pakistan, the voters' turnout in the NA-122 was 43.10 percent, 15.38 percent less than the 2013 general elections, which was 58.48 percent. Similarly, the turnout in PP-147 remained 44.42 percent. PML-N's Sardar Ayaz Sadiq retained his constituency by securing 74,525 votes while Aleem Khan of PTI got 72,082 in NA-122. A total of 149,885 votes were cast in NA-122 of which 148,027 were declared as valid while 1858 were rejected as invalid votes. Pakistan People's party (PPP) candidate Barrister Mian Amir Hassan secured only 819 votes in NA-122.
Shoaib Siddiqui of PTI who won the provincial assembly seat, PP-147, got 31,964 votes, whereas Mohsin Latif of the PML-N remained runner up by securing 28,402 votes in the recently held by-elections. Whereas, an independent candidate, Riazul Haq, was declared, winner from NA-144, Okara. The voters turnout was 51 percent in that constituency. Chaudhry Riazul Haq got 85,714 votes against main contester Ali Arif Chaudhry of PML-N who secured 45,199 votes. PTI's candidate Ashraf Sohna got only 6,356 votes while PPP candidate Chaudhry Sajjadul Hassan secured 4,325 votes.
Returning Officer (RO) Zahid Iqbal announced the official provisional results of NA-122 and PP-147 by-elections in Lahore on Monday. He announced results while addressing a press conference here at Islamia High School. District Returning Officer (DRO) Ahmed Nawaz was also present on the occasion. He said that election was conducted freely and fairly. While discussing the role of Pakistan Army, the RO said they were assisted by the Army at all levels while Police, City District Government and other law enforcement agencies also played their role in the election process.
He said that not a single complaint was received by any candidate, adding that voters had changed their registrations from a constituency to another, out of their own volition. He told the media that some complaints regarding violation of code of conduct were received but nobody presented any proof, however applications had been sent to the department concerned.
