"China will provide the Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) technical assistance to promote technical education and vocational training system in the Punjab," Chinese Consul General Yu Boren announced on Wednesday when he visited the organisation's secretariat. "We will also arrange teachers, textbooks and other related material for Chinese language classes at the organisation's institutes. We would like to establish long-term cooperation with the organisation about the language.
The Chinese diplomat praised contributions made by the organisation to provide skilled training courses, saying, "I am happy to see that the Chinese language class has got a fruitful development ... This visit has greatly promoted the unique friendly relations between China and Pakistan and injected strong impetus to the bilateral co-operation. "We need to join our hands to enhance the people-to-people exchange. And language is one of the critical factors to promote the people-to-people contact. I believe China and Pakistan will work more closely to push forward the bilateral relations and strengthen coordination in international affairs. The economic cooperation will open new corridors of prosperity for the people of Pakistan." In a speech, Chairperson Qaiser Sheikh highlighted his organisation's efforts for boosting vocational training and increasing opportunities to train the youth.
