Sindh Rangers here Thursday told the Sindh High Court (SHC) that Pasban General Secretary, Usman Moazzam is present in their Metha Ram sub-jail in Karachi. According to details, the Sindh High Court (SHC) resumed hearing of the petition of Suboohi Usman, wife of Usman Moazzam, regarding the missing of her spouse. The rangers despite the court instruction in the last hearing did not present Usman Moazzam before the court.
A SHC division bench, comprising Mir Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Zaffar Ahmed Rajput, heard the petition regarding the missing of Usman Moazzam along with his son Saad Usman, and the missing of his another son Muhammad Siddiqui. The petitioner was represented by her lawyer Muhammad Farooq Advocate. Pasban office-bearers and the family members of Usman Moazzam were also present in the court.
The division bench instructed the ranger authorities to arrange a meeting of the family with Usman Moazzam, adding if this meeting was not held it would be considered as a contempt of court. The rangers' authorities accepted that Usman Moazzam was jailed in Metha Ram Hostel sub-jail of Karachi. The court ordered the meeting of Usman Moazzam with his family on Friday, October 16 at 3:00pm. It gave the last chance to the lawyer of the rangers to submit the report about the missing of Muhammad Siddiqui in the next hearing on November 6, 2015.
