The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Punjab has said that corruption and loot of the national wealth is akin to terrorism and those involved must never be pardoned. Party organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar said on Thursday in a public gathering, "The government's charging of Rs 11 billion in the name of gas surcharge is also an unforgivable crime. The government has broken all records of inflation and joblessness. No other political party, except the Insaf, can establish a transparent and accountable system in the country."
He also urged the public to vote for his party. Organiser Sarwar said the governing party leaders had promised to solve all major issues during their 2013 general election campaign but after coming to power they failed to fulfil even a single promise. In a speech, Punjab deputy organiser Umer Sarfraz Cheema too lambasted the governing party, claiming that it had become a "failed League" and now people had a golden opportunity to express their hatred against the ruling elite through the power of vote.
"The Insaf is the only political party ready to solve people's problems with complete honesty and dedication. The Insaf and its workers are committed to serving the public," claimed deputy organiser Cheema. Chairman's political advisor Abdul Aleem Khan and Punjab Women Wing President Saloni Bukhari were also present.
