President Pakistan Muslim League-Q Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh while expressing concerns over growing incidents of violence against children has demanded strict action against those involved in kidnapping of children in Sindh province. Addressing a press conference here at the PML-Q Secretariat on Thursday, along with three recovered girls who had been kidnapped from Bhangoria Goth, he said his party played its due role in the recovery of the kidnapped girls.
He said these innocent girls were kidnapped from Bhangoria Goth in the limits of Azizabad police station on September 7, 2015. "When we came to know about the kidnapping of 9-year Shabina, 10-year Soorat and 11-year Nagina; we met with their parents and relatives and launched a powerful media campaign for their recovery," he added. He said all they wanted that the innocent girls are recovered safely and reunited with their families. He said they are happy that their campaign remained successful due to the active co-operation of media.
During the press conference, the recovered girls told media that they used to fetch drinking water from their locality daily and one day Sadam Jagirani and his friend kidnapped them and shifted them to some place. They said they were shifted to many locations during the captivity and were abused, tortured and harassed and forced to sign some Nikahnamas (marriage contracts).
