The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), in view of suspension of mobile phones services on Ashura-e-Muharram, has issued landline numbers to receive and resolve complaints of its consumers pertaining to water supply and sewerage network. This was announced by Managing Director Water Board, Misbahuddin Fareed while visiting different areas of the city.
The MD KWSB reviewed the water supply and sewerage system and expressed satisfaction on performance of the field staff. The MD Water Board visited various areas in the city on the directives of the Chairman Water Board and Sindh Local Government Minister, Nasir Hussain Shah. Misbahuddin also met with the organisers of majalis and mourning processions and asked them about the problems related to water supply and sewerage system.
He also directed the incharges of Hydrants of Water Board, Imdad Magsi and Naimatullah Meher to use the water tanker to supply water to the areas where wateer situation is not satisfactory. The people are advised the lodge their complaints on the numbers: 99201221, 139-111-11-5972, 99245138-40, 9920317, 9920310 and 99244595-96. The Office of the MD Water Board will also be open on the occasion of Ashura. The Deputy Managing Director Technical Services is also directed to ensure his availability to supervise the operations of the Board and facilitate the mourners of the processions.
