Punjab Wildlife Department has arrested two persons violating the ban on hunting of partridges and pigeons in Mandi Bahauddin and imposed a fine after recovering black and grey partridges and pigeons from their possession.
As per details, a special raiding team constituted by Director General Wildlife Khalid Ayaz conducted a raid and arrested two persons Muhammad Ejaz and Muhammad Akram involved in illegal hunting in Mandi Bahauddin and recovered eight black and grey partridges and eight pigeons from their possession. They were also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000. The raiding team has freed the pigeons while the partridges have been sent to the zoo. DG Wildlife Khalid Ayaz has said that the campaign will continue against illegal hunters.
