Mohammad Azam, a retired federal secretary information, was hand-picked on Monday as registrar Supreme Appellate Court (SAC), Gilgit Baltistan. Azam, who stood retired last week after reaching the age of superannuation, has been appointed as registrar SAC, the apex court of the GB on contract for a period of two years.
"The competent authority of Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit Baltistan has been pleased to appoint Mr Mohammad Azam, as registrar Supreme Appellate Court, Gilgit Baltistan on contract basis for a period of two years," says a notification issued here. Azam, a former officer of information service of Pakistan had also worked as registrar Press Council of Pakistan for a couple of years before he was posted to the ministry of information and broadcasting as secretary information.
