Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that Sindh is meted out step-motherly treatment and the province is under attack and PPP is being targeted in the name of corruption and it seems everything is OK everywhere {in other provinces}. This he said while talking to media after inquiring about the health of PPP Senior Vice President, Makhdoom Amin Fahim in a local private hospital this evening.
Replying to a question of the media, the CM said that just he had visited Makhdoom Amin Fahim in the hospital. "May Almighty Allah grant him good health. He is a great political personality of the country and a thoroughly loving person. I have honour of having good relationship with his father also," he said and added "keeping in view his health, and the court could have postponed the hearing of his case for two months."
Syed Qaim Ali Shah talking about the earthquake said that it had hit almost the entire country at the intensity of 8.1 magnitude. "May Allah keep our country and its people safe and secure," he prayed. He said that a few months ago he had said at the Federation House that Sindh was under attack. "It is invasions by different agencies and now it has proved that our government, our ministers, officers and our party leaders have been targeted in the name of corruption," he said and added "I am sorry to say it is aimed at maligning us".
The CM said that PPP has a long history of facing such conspiracies. "PPP is a secular political force that's why it has always been put on the target," he said and added "if secular forces are sidelined then extremists would fill the gap and it would be dangerous for the people and country," he warned. He said that despite invasion and attacks his government was working for the betterment of the people of the province. "Inshallah, we would be succeeded in steering the people of the province out of poverty, illiteracy and ignorance," he said.
