Promotions/appointments: SC directs IGP Sindh to submit details of changes in list

The Supreme Court on Thursday summoned Inspector General of Police Sindh to submit details pertaining to changes made in the list of promotion and appointments in the department. A three-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali was hearing a petition against out-of-turn promotion cases in the police department.
During the proceedings, the bench remarked that the top provincial police officer has ruined the department by misusing the powers. Adjourning the proceedings till November 3, the court also asked Advocate General Sindh to appear before the court during next hearing.
