The Government College University (GCU) Lahore has clean swept the Inter-Collegiate Swimming Championship 2015 organised by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore at the swimming pool of FC University Lahore. The team GCU set an unprecedented record of securing all the nineteen gold medals besides four silver and six bronze medals at the championship.
Ravian Haider Batoor was adjudicated the best swimmer of the inter-collegiate championship with all over seven gold medals. The team captain, Muhammad Farhan Shahid, won three gold medals and three bronze medals. GCU swimmers Rehman Javed, national record-holder Hassan Ali Raja, Usama Wyne and Azmat Ullah also won the medals at the different events of the championship. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Hassan Amir Shah and Director Sports Khadim Ali Khan met the swimming team and congratulated them on their achievement. GCU swimming team manager Atif Bhatti was also present.
