People of Mastoi tribe including women and children staged a demonstration in front of Multan Press Club on Monday against high handedness of a gang of kidnappers for ransom and appealed to the higher authorities to protect their lives and property.
The demo was led by Qabool Mastoi, Sharif, Khan and Phool .They chanted slogans against the criminals and Jampur police. They told media that a gang of kidnappers comprising Arshad Bajwa, Allah Divaya, Amir Bakhsh, Yousaf Bulhoora and Soobah Dreshak had kidnapped Qabool Mastoi in September 2015 and demanded one million rupees. Police neither registered a case against them nor recover the Mastoi.
They approached to police officers but all in vain. SHO Jampur police station demanded Rs 0.2 million bribe for Qabool Mastoi recovery. Consequently they moved to Multan Bench, LHC. The court registered a case against the kidnappers and recovered Mastoi. Now the gangsters were threatening him for dire consequence and police were harassing them to withdraw the case against kidnappers.
