A ruthless youth gunned down his aunt here on Saturday for casting vote to an opponent candidate during recently held local bodies (LB) election. According to details, accused Faisal Awan contested for general councillor seat during recently held LB election in which his aunt Suriya Bibi voted to the candidate contesting against him.
The accused who was displeased over the act of his aunt, barged into her house and opened indiscriminate fire at Suriya Bibi while she was busy in reciting the Holy Quran, killing her on the spot and fled after committing the crime. The police after registering a case against the murder have started raids for his arrest.
