Kissan Package: pay orders of Rs 79.2 million distributed among farmers

Under the Prime Minister's Kisan Package pay orders of Rs 79.205 million have been distributed among the 2217 farmers of rice and cotton crops in the district. A main ceremony of district level was held here at Iqbal Stadium for launching the Prime Minister's Kisan Package, MPA Khalid Saeed was the chief guest while AC Sadar Rafia Haider and other officers of revenue department were also present on the occasion.
According to the details the farmers of rice and cotton crops are being provided some compensation of Rs 5000/- per acre and the farmers having agriculture land up to 12 acre are being benefited from this welfare policy under Prime Minister's Kisan Package. The pay orders of Rs 9.2 million have been given to the 543 farmers of tehsil Sadar while Pay order of Rs 2.1 million have been received by the 49 farmers of tehsil City and pay order of Rs 10.5 million have been provided to the 540 farmers of tehsil Jaranwala.
