The Pakistan Army won the 7th Women National Judo Championship with a narrow margin, while the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) grabbed the second position in the event. The two-day championship was held here at Punjab Sports Gymnasium. Pakistan Army obtained 90 points with four gold, two silver and two bronze medals, whereas Wapda secured 85 points with four gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
As many as 13 teams participated in the event. The teams included Pakistan Army, WAPDA, HEC, Pakistan Railways, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, AJ&K, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA, and DHA.
