On Tues-day, BRIndex30 remained negative throughout the market time with a gradual plunge that started after midday and continued until market closing. It closed at 20,286.85 points with net change of -436.30 points. Total turnover was 107,462,700, which was higher than yesterday's turnover by 160,600 shares. Among BRIndex30 companies, Sui Southern Gas was the most traded company with turnover of 22,175,000. It was also the most traded company in stocks exchange. Among BRIndex30 companies, four companies were up and 26 were down.
Among BR Sector Indices, BR Oil and Gas Index was the leading index by volume with total turnover of 37,211,500. Sui Southern Gas was of course the most traded company in this index with turnover of 22,175,000. Index displayed a trend similar to that of BRIndex30. It closed at 3,020.62 points with net change of -51.08 points.
Second highest BR Sector Index by volume was BR Technology and Communication Index with total turnover of 23,015,500. Most of this turnover was contributed by TRG Pakistan which had a turnover of 19,316,500. This index fluctuated over the borderline until around 2:00 pm after which it also entered a gradual downward trend closing at 1,279.29 points with net change of -38.13 points.
Third highest BR Sector by volume was BR Power Generation and Distribution Index with turnover of 20,531,000. K-Electric was the most traded company in this index with a volume of 10,272,500. Index also displayed a trend somewhat similar to BRIndex30. It closed at 6,934.85 points with net change of -116.10 points.
