Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has once again lashed out at the government, adding that 'better governance' is demand of all Pakistanis and not just Pak Army. The remarks came two days after ISPR's statement saying that there was a need to match governance initiatives with military operations to eliminate militancy from the country.
Talking to media after arriving at Karachi airport, Imran Khan said citizens demand to improve police, employment, courts, law and order. "Law & order and clean drinking water is what people need in Karachi and rest of Sindh," he said. "Karachi is a metropolis, a large population centre and desperately needs better transport solutions," Khan said, adding that, "Metro Bus Service in Islamabad is mostly empty."
He said people of Sindh are badly seeking 'change'. The PTI chief said that several people were killed in Sindh while eleven of PTI workers were murdered in Punjab during first phase of local government elections as the governance is non-existent. Khan said the police in 'Naya Pakistan' will be free of political influence and focus will be on how to reduce poverty.
