The gas quota for the industrial sector has been cut to 25 percent from 33 here on Friday. General Manager Sales Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has informed that in view of increase in city load and with decrease in ambient temperature, gas supply for textile processing and hosiery sector has been curtailed with immediate effect.
On the other hand, the industrialists have complained of low gas pressure and said that they would be unable to run their machines with the available pressure. Some smaller units are also actively considering to kick out the daily wages as the industrial activity would be reduced to minimum due to the non-availability of gas probably from November 15, 2015.
