Expressing satisfaction on improvement of law and order situation in Balochistan, President Mamnoon Hussain said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and development of Gwadar Port would bring development and prosperity to Pakistan particularly in Balochistan. The President said this while talking to Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai and National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Nasser Khan Janjua (Retd) who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Friday.
Governor Balochistan briefed the President about overall political and security situation in the province and efforts for restoring complete peace and stability there. President Mamnoon Hussain said the government was according highest priority to carry out development in Balochistan for welfare of people and to bring the province at par with other provinces. "The construction of Gwadar Port and Gwadar Airport together with CPEC would create immense employment opportunities for people of Balochistan and raise their living standard," said the President.
