A leading pharmaceutical company of Pakistan, Martin Dow, as a part of its CSR initiative, is setting up a clinic in the premises of Institute Business Administration's (IBA) University, to meet basic health care needs of its students. The clinic's ground-breaking ceremony held here on Friday was attended, among others, by the IBA's dean and director Dr Ishrat Hussain, Martin Dow's chairman M. Jawed Akhai, managing director and CEO Tariq Wajid and other senior officials of the company.
Both Mr Akhai and Mr Wajid are alumni of the IBA. The clinic to be attached to a dispensary on the IBA campus will have a qualified doctor for providing basic health care facilities to the students. The ceremony was told that Martin Dow recognises that IBA produces some of the top quality graduates in Pakistan. The firm also understand that the rigorous academic schedule leaves little time for IBA students and hence setting up of a clinic is aimed at providing basic health care facilities to them on the campus.
