In this connection, a launching summit would be held on Monday to be attended by representatives of the US embassy, women entrepreneurs, and regional heads of women chambers of commerce and industry and women activists from social and business sectors.
In recognition of their efforts and achievements, the successful women entrepreneurs would also be conferred awards in the ceremony.
The project will be executed by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness that would be partnered by Muniba Mazari, TEDx inspirational speaker and a mix artist who was paralysed after an accident, and Muhammad Ibrahim Mirza, entrepreneur, trainer from Pakistan's religious minority.
By narrating their ordeals they have braved to reach their destinations, both the partners would help build capacity and motivate the participating women.
The project would train around 3,000 young women including active businesswomen from Pakistan's nine women chambers of commerce and industry for advocating greater space and opportunities for them.
WCD project would comprise 72 training sessions, 36 inspirational talks and 36 mentoring lectures with assistance in partnership with SMEDA, First Women Bank Limited and IT professionals.
The project involves strong Information, Education and Communication components including 52 FM radio programmes, profiling successful Pakistani and American women, 12 print media features on successful businesswomen in Pakistan, 12 articles promoting entrepreneurship for women, booklet on business laws on Pakistan, dedicated website, internet opportunity/info exchange group, press release and TV insertions. It holds five thematic media forums in five project regions.
