'Strategy being finalised to promote sports hunting'

Director General Wildlife and Parks Punjab, Khalid Ayyaz Khan has said that a comprehensive strategy is being finalised to promote sports hunting and to address problems of legal hunters, which will not only reduce the tendency of illegal hunting, but more facilities would be ensured for legal hunters.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting regarding solution of the problems of legal hunters, at his office, here on Wednesday. Khalid said that it is top priority of the Wildlife Department to extend every possible facility and cooperation to law-abiding hunters and, in this regard, steps are being taken to introduce hunting as a sport. He said that decision has been made to hold a seminar on November 24, at Lahore Safari Zoo Park and on this occasion, problems of legal hunters would be discussed.
