The Professionals Network on Wednesday organised Mobile Commerce and Banking Summit & Exhibition, aimed at promoting the country's e-commerce sector steadfastly. Executives from different banks, financial and digital technology sectors attended the event which was held here at a local hotel. The speakers stressed the need of promotion of m-commerce and Banking in the country to cater the growing needs of the customers.
Hardware and software companies, security solutions, equipment suppliers, and mobile money transfer companies sat up their stalls in exhibition area and showcased their products on this occasion.
Mehmood Tareen, founder and & CEO, The Professionals Network in his welcome address said: "we have connected attendees with thought-provoking speakers here to collaborate on the sector's most challenging issues." He also highlighted the major obstacles being faced by the mobile commerce and banking sector of the country. Ateeq-ur-Rehman, CEO, Coastals Packers, Trade Analyst and Advisor KCCI, Tariq Sultan, member finance, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Noor Ahmed, Head of Department, Agricultural Credit & Microfinance, State Bank of Pakistan, Sirajuddin Aziz, President & CEO, Habib Metropolitan Bank Ltd, Emil Wyss, and Consul General of Switzerland were speakers of the first session of the exhibition.
Chief Executive (CE), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), while addressing as chief guest assured the e-banking sector's stakeholders to address their issues on priority basis. He also appraised the organisers of the event saying that such kind of programmes would help providing opportunities for local and global networking for success of individual company's operation in the country.
