Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed district administration for making emergency arrangements for the opening of road closed due to landslide at Pouna, district Abbottabad. According to PDMA spokesman, Latif-ur-Rehman, heavy machinery has been dispatched for the opening or road affected by the land sliding and work of the removal of debris was in full swing.
He said that before the incident, 50 families residing in the area were shifted to secured areas even before the starting of the removal of debris while district administration has arranged necessary food, tents and blankets for the affected families.
