20 suspects held, arms seized in Karachi

Rangers on Monday conducted an operation in Essa Nagri and surrounding areas detaining more than 20 suspects while weapons were seized from their possession. The Rangers personnel carried out an operation for almost four hours on a tip-off and besieged PIB Colony's Essa Nagri area. Heavy contingents of Rangers cordoned off entry and exit points of the locality. At least 20 suspects have been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
Separately, at least, three terrorists were gunned down by law enforcers in Baghdadi. Police said as many as three members of Uzair Baloch group were killed. Weapons were recovered from the deceased miscreants identified as Jabbar alias Dada, Abdul Raheen alias Rani and Rizwan alias Rado. The police further said the militants were planning an attack during local body (LB) polls. The terrorists were wanted in several cases of extortion, grenade attacks and target killings.
