Reference is made to a news item entitled "Ex-PSM chief Qayyum, others to quiz management" carried in Daily Business Recorder, Karachi, dated: 22.11.2015. The spokesman PSM clarified that the mill was revived at 65% CAPU on 12th March 2015, but Gas was disrupted next day affecting many plants and momentum to achieve 65% or higher capacity in March 2015.
It is further clarified that PSM liabilities were Rs 158 billion in June 2015 and Rs 118 billion in June 2014. Spokesman also said that the management is not hiding anything. Slab need rolling to be converted into saleable product for which gas restoration is essential. On 12th March 2015 when gas was stopped and plant production affected for 2 months, 50-60% capacity would have been achieved for the month(s).-PR
