Water plant, laboratory collection point, medical unit inaugurated: JI chief addresses rally in Lyari
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has said that December 5, 2015 would be start of a positive change for the people of Lyari. He was addressing a big rally in the old city areas of District South. The rally was culminated into a party convention at the Bihar Colony, Lyari Town.
On the occasion, he also inaugurated a water filtration plant, Alkhidmat laboratory collection point, medical unit and a library.
A large number of party activists participated in the rally. The rally led by JI chief was overwhelmingly welcomed at several points in Lyari by the residents. People showered rose petals over Sirajul Haq and chanted slogans in the favour of him.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that people of Lyari wanted to get rid of lawlessness and extortion. He said that in the past youth of Lyari had been deprived of livelihood, education and opportunities, however time has changed and youngsters of Lyari were awaking.
He further said that the youth of Lyari would be provided with books and pen, instead of guns and bullets. He added that the JI leadership would transform Lyari and the entire city into a terror-free zone.
He further said that the JI has nominated a pious and talented youngster Syed Abdul Rasheed to serve the locality. He said that Rasheed had been a student leader and now he would serve Lyari and its people.
JI leaders Abdul Wahid Shaikh, candidate for chairman in the Union Council of Lyari Abdul Rashid, Zahid Askari and others also accompanied the JI chief.
