Inspector General of Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has directed all police officials to ensure elaborate security arrangements in Capital on eve of polling day on November 30 when people will cast their vote at various polling stations. He made these directions to them here at meeting held on Saturday to review security arrangements for local bodies elections on November 30.
The IGP said peaceful and conductive environment for voters will be on top priority of police so that they may cast their vote independently. The Islamabad police chief directed all police officials to conduct complete checking of buildings before start of polling and maintain close liaison with Returning Officers for peaceful holding of elections. He said that metal detectors should be used for checking purpose and women police employees to be also careful at female polling stations.-PR
