Jamaat-i-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ameer, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has demanded of the federal government to announce a comprehensive package for Federally Administrative Tribal Areas-FATA, to mitigate the suffering of tribesmen. He said that a draft of 22nd constitutional amendments, was presented by parliamentarians in National Assembly, which should immediate implement letter and spirit, following its formal endorsement from the house.
He called for inclusion of Fata representatives into the proposed Fata Reforms Committee. He expressed the hope that the incumbent committee would take practical steps for mainstreaming the Fata and bringing change in social fabric of tribal society. He was speaking at news conference at Al-Makaz-e-Islami here on Saturday. Flanked by JI FATA ameer, Sahibzada Haroon ul Rashid, General Secretary Munsaf Khan and deputy ameer, Zar Noor Afridi; Mushtaq Ahmad said tribesmen were deliberately kept backwards in all fields, under a conspiracy, therefore, he said government should announce Rs 500billion package for Fata. He urged Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif to visit all tribal agencies, to evaluate the damages by recent earthquake.
The party provincial chief said the tribesmen have deprived from all constitutional and basic rights for last several decades, due to presence of draconian law, Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) Act. Since inception of the country, Mushtaq Ahmad said there was neither construct medical college nor medical university, whereas tribal people were also deprived from best healthcare and education facilities. He said that a conspiracy was being hatched to not establish health and education infrastructure in Fata.
More than one million people from Fata had become homeless for last one decade, which were living without any proper shelter, food and other essential facilities, JI provincial chief said. He demanded of the government to take measures for return of Tribal Displaced Persons (TDP) in dignified manner, besides, it should announce a package of Rs 500bilion for Fata.

JI provincial chief demanded of the federal government to announce Rs 1million for heirs of those died in recent earthquake in Fata, while Rs 500,000 for injured. He urged the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif to visit all headquarter of tribal agencies, to evaluate the damages from recent earthquake in Fata.
He vowed the Jamaat-i-Islami would continue its struggle to raise voice for rights of tribal people, and viewed that tribesmen had rendered matchless sacrifices for motherlands, and played important role for protection of border regions, without any incentives. He demanded of the all parliamentarians and political parties to merge Fata in to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by giving status of Provincial Administrative Tribal Areas (PATA), saying that those people opposing the idea, was not sincere with tribal people and raising the issue for their vested interest. He observed that all political and non-political forces are same page, and want to bring Fata at par, and mainstream tribal society with practical steps.
