LONDON: Europe's main stock markets rose at the start of trading on Tuesday, with investors in London returning after a UK public holiday.
The capital's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.8 percent to 7,635.77 points, catching up with gains made across main eurozone indices on Monday.
At the open Tuesday, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index rose 0.3 percent to 12,578.65 points and the CAC 40 in Paris won 0.2 percent to 5,489.51.
