972nd Urs of Hazrat Daata Ganj Bakhsh

The Punjab government has completed all security and other arrangements for the 972nd annual Urs of Hazrat Daata Ganj Bakhsh Sayyad Ali Bin Usman Hujwiri beginning tomorrow.
Auqaf Department, Provincial Police, local Administration and the Daata Darbar management held a meeting here on Sunday to ensure quality arrangements for all the events including the national Naat, Quran and Qawali recitals, inauguration of milk 'sabeel' and distribution of 'langar' for three days.
The provincial minister for Auqaf and religious affairs Mian Atta Muhammad Manika has said there could be no compromise on security of pilgrims who would throng the Darbar from all over the country as well as from abroad. More than 500 known Ulema and Mashaikh are expected to attend the Urs including the Sajjadgan of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia and Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will also attend the second day proceedings of the Urs.
