Board of Directors of Utility Stores Corporation (USC) and Ministry of Industries have reportedly locked horns on the removal of Managing Director Sultan Mehmood. Well informed sources told Business Recorder that USC Board on Thursday removed MD USC and appointed Malik Zahoor, a Director General in Ministry of National Food Security and Research.
However, the newly appointed reached USC headquarters to assume charge, the removal MD refused to relinquish charge. Both the officials exchanged hot words. According to sources Ministry of Industries and Production has directed the removed MD not to relinquish charge. Ministry and MD are of the view that since Prime Minister assigned the responsibility to MD, he can remove the MD.
