On the recommendation of Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Anti-Corruption Department of KP has arrested chairman, Parents Teachers Council (PTC), Government Primary School (GPS), Faizullah Koroona (Shor Kot) D I Khan for alleged corruption and misappropriation in funds while the department has dismissed head teacher, Abdul Rehman from service and a formal departmental action has been initiated against him.
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department has received complaints of corruption and misappropriation of PTC funds by the chairman in glove with the head teacher of the school concerned.
Taking notice of the complaint, the department through a letter requested the Anti-Corruption Department for registration of an FIR and initiation of action against both alleged accused.
It is worth mentioning here that for ensuring transparency in the utilisation of PTC funds, the provincial government has issued a formal notification regarding nomination of the nazims of village and neighbourhood councils concerned on these councils.
