Gal Gadot’s ‘Wonder Women 1984’ might have an Indian connection
After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, another Indian actress has auditioned for Hollywood’s one of the biggest project. The film in question is DC universe ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and the Indian actor is Soundarya Sharma.
Some Indian media outlets reported on Monday that Soundarya has bagged a role in Gal Gadot’s movie but the actress has recently revealed that nothing has been finalized yet.
Some reports also had Soundarya's statement saying, “This I can say is a dream coming true situation. It's exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character and idolised it,” she told. Soundarya however denies giving any such statement and says that she has preferred not to talk about the news.
The ‘Ranchi Diaries’ actress revealed that she had been to New York and appeared for four auditions, ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ being one of them. However, she has not received any confirmation from the makers of film yet.
She said, “I have said it in multiple interviews in the past that if there is one film I want to work in, it is Wonder Women. I am a huge fan of superhero films and would love to play a part played by Gal Gadot. In September last year, I even posted my picture in Wonder Woman costume on Instagram and wrote that I've a secret to share that I am the real Wonder Woman, but it was all for fun. I didn’t even know then that I would be going to New York for auditions. I think people have just connected the dots and have come up with the conclusion of their own. On my part, I can just wish this be true. I should just hope that I have some real news to share on this,” says Soundary, Times of India reported.
